A mulberry silk pillowcase is one of the most sought-after beauty accessories: its smooth surface reduces friction on hair and sleep creases on the face. For a hotel or spa it becomes a distinctive service for sleep and wellness packages, a paid in-room amenity or a spa boutique item, generating extra revenue for the property.

How can a property offer the silk pillowcase and sleep mask?

There are three common formats: the pillowcase and sleep mask set included in sleep programmes or wellness retreats; the set as a paid in-room amenity that guests take home; or retail in the spa boutique or hotel shop next to facial and hair treatments. What silk do you use and which certifications does it have?

100% mulberry silk, 22 momme weight and grade 6A, the highest grade for fibre length and evenness. The fabric is certified OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, tested for harmful substances, which matters for products in contact with guests' skin and hair.

What does 22 momme mean and why does it matter in hospitality?

Momme measures silk weight: the higher it is, the denser, softer and more durable the fabric. Many pillowcases on the market are 16 to 19 momme; 22 momme is a premium choice, more opaque and longer-lasting, suited to luxury properties.

Which colours and sizes are available?

Pillowcase, sleep mask and bedding set come in White, Gold and Beige, chosen to match luxury hotel and spa interiors. The pillowcase measures 50×80 cm with envelope closure; the sleep mask is one size with elastic strap; the bedding set fits a double bed.

Can silk pillowcases be used as standard room linen?

Silk needs gentle washing and is not suited to industrial hotel laundry cycles. We recommend offering it as a personal guest item, to gift or sell, or as a special service for suites and sleep packages, laundered separately on a delicate cycle.

How do you wash and care for mulberry silk?

Hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle at a maximum of 30 °C with a neutral silk detergent, no bleach or fabric softener. Air dry away from direct sunlight and iron on low heat inside out. Each set can include a care card for guests.

Is there a trade price list for hotels, resorts and spas?

Yes. Hospitality buyers purchase at trade prices, different from the retail price on our website. Direct orders have a minimum of €150 in value, with no minimum quantity. Can we get a sample before ordering?

Yes, we ship a sample set with one silk pillowcase and one silk sleep mask for €49, so the spa manager or general manager can assess fabric, colours and packaging before the first order.

What are the delivery times and do you ship abroad?

Sets are prepared to order, with an indicative lead time of about 26 days. We ship across Europe and internationally. For a season opening or the launch of a new sleep programme, we recommend ordering at least one month in advance.

Can packaging or labels be customised with the property's name?

For ongoing orders we can discuss customised packaging with the hotel or spa name. Minimum quantities and lead times are agreed case by case: tell us your number of rooms or expected guests.

Does a silk pillowcase sell well in a spa?

Yes. It sells itself after a facial or hair treatment because it extends the care at home. The set with the sleep mask is a ready-made gift, also suitable for spa vouchers and wellness gift boxes.

Who is L'Officiel Roma and who designs the collection?

L'Officiel 95 S.r.l. is an Italian artisan company listed in the Albo delle Imprese Artigiane, based in Rome and active since 1969 in high-end costume jewellery and silk accessories.
