Moissanite bridal FAQ

What is moissanite?
A silicon carbide gemstone. It is extremely rare in nature: the French chemist Henri Moissan identified it in 1893 in a meteorite crater, and it bears his name. Jewelry moissanite is lab-created.

How does moissanite differ from diamond?
They are different gemstones. Moissanite has a hardness of 9.25 on the Mohs scale (diamond 10), so it stands up well to daily wear. Its refractive index and dispersion are higher than diamond's, so it is very brilliant and shows more colored flashes, known as “fire”. It costs a fraction of a similar-sized diamond.

Can the ring be made in my size?
Yes, moissanite rings are made to the bride's size. Join the waiting list or message us on WhatsApp to learn how to measure it.

When will the collection be available?
The collection is in preparation and the first images will be published soon. Those on the waiting list are notified first.

Do you ship abroad?
Yes, lofficiel.store ships from Italy to international destinations.

How do I care for moissanite and silver jewelry?
Clean the stone with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft brush. Polish the silver with a silver cloth and store the piece in a closed pouch, away from humidity, perfume and chemicals, to limit tarnishing.
