How do you wash a silk scarf?

Short answer: wash silk by hand in cold water with a neutral or silk-specific detergent. Don't rub or wring it: soak, move it gently, rinse and blot with a towel. Dry it flat in the shade, away from sun and heat sources.

To iron, use a low temperature (silk setting), on the reverse side and while the silk is still slightly damp. Avoid bleach, fabric softener and the dryer. For delicate pieces or prints, dry cleaning is the safest option. Discover the Made in Italy silk scarves.
