The essence of charmeuse silk
Every pillowcase is made from pure mulberry silk, the finest natural fiber in the world, obtained from the cocoons of the Bombyx mori silkworm, raised exclusively on mulberry leaves: a long, uniform, remarkably lustrous filament. The charmeuse weave in satin construction gives the skin-facing side a smooth, luminous surface, while the matte reverse ensures fabric stability — the same textile quality as L'Officiel Roma's silk scarves, brought into the ritual of rest.

Momme is the traditional unit of measurement for silk density. At 22 momme, the pillowcase reaches the ideal balance of density, wash durability, and softness to the touch: below 19 momme the fabric is light and semi-sheer (entry-level to mid quality), above 25 it becomes stiffer and heavier. 22 momme is the standard for luxury-grade silk.
Grade 6A: the pinnacle of the classification
Raw silk is graded on a quality scale from C up to 6A, the highest level, based on thread luster, color purity, and freedom from imperfections. Only a small share of world production reaches grade 6A: long, individually selected filaments, smoother, stronger, and naturally pearlescent — a surface free of knots and irregularities that holds up over time.
